So, as much as I love history...youd think that Id remember and put two and two together as I was standing on Coronado Beach last Saturday about a major historical US landmark located there. If you look over my shoulder you can clearly see the amazing Hotel Del Coronado!!! One of only a few Victorian wood-framed seaside resorts left, the Hotel Del Coronado opened in 1888!!! I cant believe I forgot that it was there and I was stunned to see it when we arrived at the beach!! Now, Crissina is far, far braver than I and she snuck us in!!! I got to walk through the Hotel Del Coronado!!!! Old movie buffs will recognize this as the hotel in the 1959 Marilyn Monroe film, Some Like it Hot. Gorgeous, gorgeous place!!! :) hoteldel/
