So, as of 5 years ago today, I had my first PET scan after being in the hospital for a month and 5 days later I was given the dreaded news of Hogkins Lymphoma Stage two. Within a month I was receiving regular chemotherapy had 3 surgeries. One to put my port in, one to remove a lymph node half the size of my heart pressing against it, and another to remove several under my arm, The chemo went on every ten days for a few months until June 13th, the day before my first granboy Brent was born when I got some bad tests back and found out my cancer, despite the chemo, had advanced to Stage 4.... I am no different than many people. I have my days that are full of HOPE. I had SO MANY things to fight for, and if you know me, Im never one to back down from a good fight! Over the weekend I received a letter from OHA (Oncology/HemotologyAssociates) to say I have been scheduled for The Works of retesting starting February 10th. I want SO bad to reschedule for after the 27th JUST IN CASE. February 27 is my ONE YEAR CANCERVERSARY of being in COMPLETE REMISSION...... God is good and I BELIEVE things will be okay, but some extra prayers would br appreciated right now for our family. Especially for my Robert Williams Dad who is in alot of pain today and Brandon Beck whose heart just hurts Im sorry Im not my positive self these last few days,,,, I guess Im only human and somedays I just cant help but feel worried, helpless and just want to disappear. Today is one of those days....
