So awesome! There was a fawn in serious trouble in Gaffney tonight. I didnt have any volunteers up that way. So I called another group for help. They made a bunch of calls and the fawn is headed here shortly. Sounds like it was picked up by a dog rescue person, then transferred to someone else that I dont know. Not sure if it will be transferred again along the way. But the bottom line is that people who dont necessarily know each other are pitching in to run various legs of the journey to get this baby here tonight while we still have a chance to save it. (It was attacked by dogs.) Some days, Im embarrassed to be a human and then days like today happen and Im proud of my fellow humans! Ill post more after it arrives. Ive fed all the deer here and shuffled fawns around to make room. Im planning to put it in with Hairy, the fawn who was chewed up by maggots the other day. (Hes hanging in there, BTW!) I moved Danny, his cagemate in with Maybell and a tiny boy, Im calling T9.
