So disapponited with the SPCA right now. So a month ago when we went to the Watch Lake Dump in the Cariboo we saw a black and white cat there. The dump is way out in the bush no houses around for miles, so my thought is someone must have dumped him there. So we were back this weekend to the dump and the cat is still there and not looking as healthy as it was a month. So I call the SPCA in 100 Mile House and they return my call to inform me that they are not a shelter so no one can deal with the cat or cats as I find out from a local person there. He told me someone dropped off 4 of them 7 weeks ago but by now maybe there is only one left...:-) I was informed that Green Lake and Watch Lake residents are not very humane about doing this. I guess if they have no shelter in the Cariboo where do they turn to. Well my next call will be in the morning to the head office of the SPCA to find out what the next step should be to fix the problem. I have been donating monthly to the SPCA for many many many years and I dont find this acceptable.................
