So finally BJPs much awaited manifesto is out. Here are the highlights: 1) Focus on good governance and inclusive development 2) Foreign Direct Investment in all sectors, except in mulch-brand retail. Imagine the number of jobs that will be created 3) A Uniform Civil Code – Yeah! Thats right 4) National Health Assurance Scheme – Dont we need that? 5) Low-cost housing programme to be implemented 6) 100 cities to be developed as smart city...The Bikaners and Bhagalpurs and Balasores and Bareillys can look forward to it 7) 50 new circuits for tourism 8) Special Courts to stop hoarding and black marketing 9) Setting up a Price Stabilization Fund 10) Evolve a single National Agriculture Market 11) Reforms in taxation 12) Accessible, affordable and effective health care system The manifesto looks very impressive. It looks like the outcome of a lot of thinking, analysis and brainstorming of BJP top brass. Manifestos as a matter of fact have always existed in theories and their practical implementation has never taken place. But even if Narendra Modi manages to achieve 50% of what has been promised, I am sure we can look forward to an era of happiness and prosperity. And of course, Ram Mandir is mentioned too. BJP has promised to explore all options within the framework of Constitution to facilitate construction of Ram Mandir ;-) BUT that is what the Main Stream media is incessantly yacking about. They got to understand that Ram Mandir is a part of the document, not all of it. We, for a change decided to showcase the real points.
