So finally time to write things down! Just returned from a month - TopicsExpress

So finally time to write things down! Just returned from a month abroad in Canada and the US spending an amazing time with Lee Smit Nicole Smith, Steaphen Fick and family. Then off to LA where I met up with Neal, Seamus, the Kron guys. And last but not least my visit with Jake. It was a blast. Workshops were well received and I also got to learn my share. Starting out in Vancouver at Blood & Iron going to Davenriche in Santa Clara and from there a ministop in LA before I would head off to Jake Norwood club KDFM in Washington... So busy schedule... My little intermezzo in LA was quite amazing! I was picked up by my friend Neal Stephenson the notorious sci-fi writer, accompanied by Seamus Blackley a man who is not only a legitimate good fellow but has several amazing talents. He was among others one of the designers / developers of the x-box and is overall a huge name in the gaming industry. He among others worked on several projects with Steven Spielberg. They picked me up in a private limousine with a driver who was somehow not able to open the vehicle when we approached it, which was quite entertaining. After fumbling around with his key for 10 minutes we were finally on our way. We had a good time. Later on the driver forgot Seamus in the car and locked him up...I guess it was not the drivers best day. The boys showed me around. I was there only for 3 days but I did a lot!! I taught a last minute workshop for the Kron guys. I spend one day in Disneyland with Paradox Pollack and Luke Lafontaine and the Kron boys. Paradox is a really special guy and everytime we are together things just go crazy. Lots of fun! Luke gave me the best advice ever!! 2 hour pitch of how to communicate with directors and yeh he knows his shit and it was really helpful. Next day Seamus, Neal and me had an appointment with the biggest MoCap in the world called Digital Domain who were responsible for the CGI in transformers, X men, Tron, Benjamin Button, Titanic and 200 more movies.. The company was founded by James Cameron and two other guys. Later I visited Blur also a MoCap studio. The last evening was superb I was pissed drunk having fun with these amazing men: Stefano Milla (the director Richard the Lionheart), Seamus Blackley, John Cameron, and a famous bagpipe player called Robert Heggie. John the brother of James Cameron (Terminator, The Abyss, Aliens and Avatar) has his own shit together and we found out we had a lot in common and you know what he wants to learn Hema! So we made the deal that I will teach him in return for a day drinking beer with Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood my two silver screen heros. A reasonable deal. ( as long as I dont have to pick up the tab..) And I cant wait to meet these two guys. Im pretty sure that Arnold understands my quest ( which is putting HEMA on the silver screen) I also told John to stop investing in Smurfs on Steroids and that he should put his money in my HEMA movie! So well see... Anyways I liked Hollywood I could get used to it. But still normal life goes on... Now Im back in Holland, and replaced the American sun and heat for Dutch rain and wind. But no worries America.. Ill be back..😜👍
