So frustrated!! We had a cat show up at our house in the middle of winter and start eating the food we put out for our feral cats. She later had kittens. We were trying to let her and a couple of kittens stay, however she has started being really mean to the kittens and not letting them eat. I took her to the Weber Animal Shelter this morning so that the kittens can eat and survive, and so that she can hopefully be adopted, rather than dumping her in a field. I was told I had to pay $40 to leave her because I had assumed responsibility for her by feeding her. Okay, I can deal with that with minor frustration. However, when I complained about the policy, as I was paying the money, the girl kept saying that People have to take responsibility for their pets and so on, rather than just saying, I know. Im sorry. She made me feel like I was a bad person for trying to be kind to both this cat, and her kittens, both of whom I had not actively chosen. I would not recommend doing business with Weber County Animal Services.
