So grateful on this Labor Day to celebrate 20 years of service as a Registered Nurse with the Commonwealth of VA...4 years in Corrections and 16 years in Mental/Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Services serving severely mentally ill clients and NGRI acquittees on conditional release. It is my passion, pleasure, privilege, and honor to travel all over the state to assist clients(and their team of family and care providers) with the multi-faceted challenges of transitioning from long-term hospitalization/institutionalization into the community. Never thought Id ever work in this area of nursing but when I look back...my God... can I see His hand, purpose, plan, equipping and grace... During the process, there had been times that I felt like I was in hell but God was with me and kept me, now it has turned out to be like heaven to be so blessed and to be used as a blessing to so many. Amazed at how God orchestrated and continues to orchestrate it all. Glory! Eternally grateful to God for my wise and loving mother whose spirit continues to resonate. Gratefully Celebrating!!!
