So here I am back in the conference room one last time here on the Carnival Glory. She really is a wonderful ship and the 2.0 upgrades and of course the brilliant crew make her a ship that is not to be missed. I loved the itinerary as well with Grand Turk and St.Thomas two marquee ports in the same 7 day cruise. As I sit here Kye is at the Camp Carnival farewell party and Heidi is packing. I of course have been banished from the cabin during the scientific process that packing is to her and most people who do not have an Adams apple. I am not sure why but I just had a sudden memory flash back to a ship I was on in Europe, it was either the Carnival Freedom or the Carnival Splendor….not sure. Anyway, I was running the debarkation process when the shore side people in Civitavecchia asked us to stop the line and for me to page a guest. I did so and asked the guest to call the Guest Services Desk for an important message. You see one of her suitcases was ummmmm………vibrating………. and they would not load into the truck to go to the airport for security reasons until the guest had opened the suitcase under the watch of Italians with guns. The guest did go ashore and did open her suitcase and did turn the ummmm……….well you know……….off. Poor Mrs Rabitt. So, my question to you is at what stage of the cruise do you pack……the afternoon, the last night or when the annoying CD makes his first announcement at 7am Cheers
