So here I am, in the maternity ward at Henry Ford for the third time in less than 5 years watching Nikki and Ivy nap together on Nikkis bed. Theyre both so beautiful, and all I can think about is how incredibly lucky I am in life, and how amazing my wife is. In the past year alone weve sold a house, bought a house, moved all our belongings into storage, gutted and expanded the house we bought, gotten pregnant, had Sabrina graduate preschool, had Sawyer start preschool, watched Sabrina learn to swim and Sawyer learn to talk in actual sentences, moved our stuff out of storage and into the house we gutted, and last, but not least, welcomed Ivy into the world. Through it all Nikki has displayed a level of strength, determination and calmness I didnt know she had (and certainly dont possess myself). Nikki Herbst Dunn, you are the most incredible person Ive ever met, and am thankful everyday that in a world where you could have chosen anyone, you took a risk and chose me. I love you, and will never stop being amazed by and thankful for all you do for me, Sabrina, Sawyer, Ivy and Cliff.
