So here is a terrible story, but true. A friend of mine has a 94 dodge ram cummins. He had my Sutherland Diesel Performance Sticker on the back of his truck and got pulled over for excessive smoke. The CHP officer decided he knew more about diesel performance than we do. Even though my friend opened the hood and showed him the new P7100 pump with the non tamper screws still in place, stock intake and exhaust, the cop decided that the knob that controls his lockup was actually controlling his fuel output. What a complete idiot. He told him that because he had a performance shop sticker on the tailgate that he was definately running a modifyed truck. And even though the state of Cali doesnt make you smog your pre 98 truck, he still wrote him a ticket. So off to court he goes, and the judge told him he would have to get a smog station to approve it or pay the $490 ticket. No smog station would touch it as they are all running scared of CARB. So he went to the Referee. They told him he was a gross poluter and they wouldnt help. Even though it wasnt required to smog it. So he went back to court and asked the judge if he could have it repaired to make it not smoke. They said it was too old and not repairable. WHAT!!! So what do they make him do???? Pay the money and he is still driving it around the streets. WTF!!!!! This proves that it is not at all about the enviroment. Its a big paycheck for the Liberals that run this state. Power and Money is all its about. So off the sticker comes,,,, guess this means they will let him drive by next time. This is Communism. Period.
