So here is my take on the whole Younis Khan incident. He was selected against Srilanka to play at 3 or 4. Due to sad circumstances he had to leave and go home. In that series 2 things were made clear. Sharjeel cant open hence Hafeez has to open in the future. Hence the no 3 spot is vacant. Seeing that Fawad is providing stability down the order the coaches have decide(rumors) that Misbah is going to be played at number 3. With Misbah at 3 the team is provided stability and also opens up the slot for Sarfraz Ahmed down the order. Giving us a decent batsmen and good keeper which will take the pressure off umar akmal and also give us a good fielder in the field. Since Misbah will be batting at 3 Younis no longer is required in the team and it would be a waste to take him along and make him sit out it would be smarter to take a youngster who although wont play but will get an idea of how things are at the international team. Younis Khan reacted the way he did because he wants to go out on his own terms, but he forgot that no one is bigger then the team. He complained about how seniors are treated the problem is the seniors here think they cant be dropped. A simple and good example will be Mike Hussey who retired at his peak he could have played for a long time. I am also happy that PCB has issued him a show cause notice and demanded an explanation , its time that these players understand they are not bigger then the team and PCB is the boss.
