So, here is the letter I wrote my doctor Julian Mendes today. This is how the appointment went, I would say in conclusion to this, I am going forward to the papers and the press once I have all my ducks in a row, so to speak. Will send an e-mail to the board of orthopedic surgeons and talk to Leo. I found today emotionally draining and I am so thankful Julian spent extra time educating me while I was in Calgary, because I sure needed everything he taught me today. Hi Julian, Please let me know if this guy calls you, it was a good but kind of confrontational appointment. Might be easier to explain over the phone, but I will try writing it. All I can say it thank you for spending extra time away from your schedule and your life to educate me, it helped me immensely today, for every negative he had to throw out at me I had an statistic response for him. The appointment started out by him asking what he could do for me and where I was at with my scoliosis. I said, well, I would like to know what you would recommend for me before I tell you what I have done. I said I saw Dr. Alexander back in 2009 and all he said was he didnt want to see me till I could no longer move. I asked is your opinion about the same? He then went to my 2009 x-ray and went into telling me what is wrong and that the surgery would be huge and I said it would be horrific! He basically agreed with me. Then I told him I did my own research and found Spinecor. He then asked me Did you get it? Seemed very excited to see it. Asked if I was wearing it and I told him yes and then he asked to see it. He said he had recommended it to a few patients. I just said my biggest reason for being there was to bring awareness to him and to the orthopedic surgeon world that there is another option for people suffering like me. He said Its 3500.00 and no one has that to spend around here. I said, oh really?! There are rich people here in the maritimes and there are poor people and think of what a stretch it was for me being on full disability! I took a chance on a very kind man that gave me hope when NOONE told me there was anything else other than a horrific surgery! I said, many people that are suffering like I was would gladly pay 3500.00 to have their entire life given back to them! I said, ok lets talk about the children that are braced in hard braces and they have to be replaced every 9 months at 2900.00 a pop! He went silent for a bit, I told him I am here to bring awareness to you, now that you have seen me and know exactly where I at. I said I am not working for any company trying to sell you something here, I am only looking out for the good of man kind! I am showing you I am walking proof Spinecor works! I dont work for Spinecor or Julain Mendes, I am only concerned at how many more people are out there suffering in the same capacity as me and someone needs to tell them about Spinecor. I said I am now one person and my friend Sandy is another and a lady from Mexico is another and my friend Pam in London England that joined my awareness group will be another Spinecor advertisement. I told him you had braced 50 kids and only 1 progressed, he said you had to be lying!!!!!!! I told him Julian Mendes is not a liar!! I told him I was going back in April to learn schroth exercises and told him you were going to Boston to learn from the creators son. He went kind of silent again. I mentioned I was going to have some chiropractic care done as well. So, I asked him to call you and he said he would. I told him I wasnt placing blame on him but I am angry no one told me about Spinecor, I lost 10 years of my life! Hope you have a great weekend, Leslie
