So here it is friends, my big news: Im leaving Ste. Genevieve. Im not going far, just transferring a few hours away to Boone County MO (where our main campus is located). This wasnt an easy decision, my attachments and connections run deep in this region, but I know its the right choice. Im ready for new challenges, and being in Columbia will also allow me to work on my doctorate (last winter firmly convinced me that long-distance commuting for my education was never going to work). Someone new will be good for this area too, bringing new energies and ideas. My last day in the Ste. Gen. office will be October 31, though Ill be back a couple of times in November to fulfill commitments. This is a good thing. A scary, exciting, happy-sad thing.
