So here we are, the end of an amazing year for female Muay Thai in the UK, we have seen some fantastic fights and its great to see the girls sharing the big stage on shows such as Yokkao, Smash and Main Event. We have 41 females ranked across 7 divisions which is considerably more than 2013 and sets up some very interesting bouts in 2015! So, from 41 we went down to the shortlist of 5, 11 of the UK industrys leading figures from the top officials, commentators and promoters joined myself and Dave Croft (thaifighter) to cast 3 votes each (3 votes takes away any possible bias) for the inaugral award.
