So heres my thoughts on my first day as a 30 year old... I honestly believe that the 20s are for figuring your life out. Its the prime time to discover yourself and your lifes purpose. Spend time alone, throw your heart totally into something and get it ripped apart. Fall down, but always stand up. Have a blast in that first apartment with your friends. Switch majors in college. Try new experiences. Change paths when things dont feel right. Find different crowds of people and soak in their view of the world. Ask questions. Fall in love with the fact that its ok to not always know where you are going. Rest assured you dont always have to have all the answers, they will come. Stop worrying about what they think cause I promise you it doesnt matter. Learn to accept change. Realize failure isnt failure. Its growth. Im thankful for every single person I ever met so far along this journey. As my buddy Jim Rohn says: Some stay. Some dont stay. Let it go. You cant control everything and you honestly never will. They all served a purpose in your life at some point. Theres always a blessing or a lesson. I wrote this the other night as I was thinking about turning 30 cause unfortunately due to so many unforeseen circumstances many ppl get their lives cut way too short. Heres what I came up with: Im not too sure how much time God has given me to live on this earth, but Im going to make sure as long as Im here, I give this life everything Ive got. Thats what Id say to you. Give it all you got! Dont ever stop learning or growing. Your body and your mind will go ten times further then you can ever believe. Dont quit and I wish you all the best in your successes on whatever path youve chosen. If I can add value to someone on this journey of life, I believe thats what most of life is about.
