So how did the experts all get it wrong by saying ison broke up... What happened to ison that made expert predictions look very wrong?...heres my take.. Its quite simple: the expected and projected path of ison by the experts was wrong as the comet did not swing by the suns surface as close as thought it should but actually went past the sun due to its fast rate of speed...therefore slingshoting around the sun took longer than expected because more distance was traveled by the Comet. Which explains the amount of extra time it took to appear on the Solar Observing instrumentation... Hours after it was expected to be visible. This event will teach us all about the unpredictability of Comets as they play Russian roulette with the Sun and serves as a good example of how carefully calculated and precise orbital paths can be altered due to the unknown factors that exist in such a harsh environment... Known as Space!
