So how does We Love Rescue Pets manage to adopt much faster than traditional rescue operations? Here is an example. Chase was surrendered to us on New Years Eve & we had been in contact with his owner for a few days. We gathered all the appropriate medical info & evaluated him after his surrender records were completed. His intake paperwork will address his training, children, other pets, exercise, care, feeding & any issues. This was done by 2 full time employees, not volunteers, during normal business hours not after work or waiting til the weekend for coordinating with a foster for a meet n greet. Once Chase was in house, not someones foster house , he was uploaded online by full time employees, also available for all to see if they walked in the door 7 days a week during normal business hours. Within 1 hour adoption applications began to arrive by email, fax & filled out at the facility. As our phone rings all day full time staff instruct potential adopters what is required to adopt & dedicate their time to helping chase find his new family. No one waits for a call back, no one has a limited availability for meeting after work hours or the weekend. Imagine how much can be accomplished if a staff of full time employees is dedicated to making an animals dreams for a forever family come true. Our website and staff give specific instructions on requirements to adopt including the option to bring vet records to verify altering, vaccinations & care. Along with reviewing the adoption applications & proof of residency. Our follow up research shows an incredible success with animals remaining in the homes we adopt to. We keep copies of all documentation, on every adoption, for every animal. We make things easier by keeping the process efficient & accurate. Leaving less room for miscommunication & potential error. Chase thinks we do a good job, as do thousands of other animals with nowhere to go. Our adoption fees make this possible, pay our staff, rent & expenses to keep our operation functioning. We are not cash & carry we just take the roadblocks out of adoption by being as proactive as possible. Imagine if all rescue animals had this exposure & resources. Some can not comprehend what we do, we cant comprehend not dedicating everything possible to save lives.
