Start 2015 doing something to care for yourself-consider beginning or renewing a mindfulness practice. This course is for you! Our lives seem to be busier than ever, both at home and at work. Our minds constantly buzz with endless tasks, worries, and responsibilities. With these demands on our time and attention, we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and exhausted. How much of the time are you truly present? With the practice of mindfulness, we can bring awareness, clarity, and calm to our lives. This course will introduce you to practices and meditation techniques that cultivate mindfulness in our daily life. We will explore the benefits of mindfulness for emotional, mental, and physical well-being and interpersonal relationships. This six-week course will support you in establishing your own continuing mindfulness meditation practice. This course is offered by Ann Brand, Ph.D., a mindfulness meditation teacher and college instructor. The course meets on Sunday evenings from 6-8 PM beginning January 4th with the exception of February 1st, on which we meet from 2-4 PM. Dont hesitate to contact with questions!
