So hows this for a freak accident and bad luck: Im parked by a municipal football ground this evening, in the car park of a community hall, where I am judging at a camera club. Im about 10 minutes into the evening, and am in full flow. Suddenly a member of the club asks who is the owner of a car, and reads out my number plate. Heart sinking, I said yes thats my car........... .....a football had been kicked and gone straight thru my windscreen. Completely cracked. I had to drive home 30 miles at the end of the evening through dark country lanes with a completely cracked windscreen. Nightmare. The flare from the oncoming car lights nearly blinded me. The boy and the football coach apologised yes, but at the end of the day its Life. And railing at them wasnt gonna change the situation. So I guess I shall be without a car till the windscreen gets mended. Bummer. How I finished the judging, I will never know. I was shaking. But we Brits....we keep calm and carry on!!
