So i am in this town in the Napa valley called Yountville filled - TopicsExpress

So i am in this town in the Napa valley called Yountville filled with four and five star restaurants and an expensive bakery. The grocery store is downright frightening, they carry Wonder Bread and who even knew that totally artificial mineral depleted Wonder Bread Still existed? Oh yes, but you can get a $50. bottle of wine, which was the least expensive one there in a red. So here I am going from restaurant to restaurant asking the same questions , “Do you have anything organic and hopefully GMO free?” They stammer, they question the manager who talks with the chef, and the answer is always the same, No, Im sorry, but have a good day. How can I have a good day when Im hungry and I can’t find anywhere to eat that isn’t expensively dressed chemicals with a high price tag? Theres women and men in Prada, Escada, Armani and more ...with little designer dogs yapping besides them as they prance around peeing in the roses. Art and sculpture by the dozen adorn every block, yet I cant find a single place that serves Organic and GMO free food! I could make a reservation at ‘The French Laundry’ today the menu says, PRIX FIXE 295.00 |SERVICE INCLUDED (Oh goodie, I HATE when I have to serve myself and pay $295. not including beverages) Oops, sorry, the wait to get in is perhaps 3 to 6 months from now--paying an average of $300-600. for a meal--not thinking so, although I believe their food is organic--isnt that fun! So in desperation, I go to the fancy gas station, Kellys. And lo and behold I find an organic drink and the only other organic thing, a peanut butter cup, dark chocolate coated peanut butter. I dont like dark chocolate, although I buy it anyway because like I said, Im hungry, And the package makes it look like theres a lot more peanut butter than it really has. I walk to one of the many mini hotel attached vineyards, and stand before a couple of grape vines, biting off the chocolate and spitting, (I meant, christened), it down on the dirt base of the vines just to get to the peanut butter. I can just see it now, in a year or so, as someone drinks the wine from these 2 vines, their hundred dollar bottle of wine, and says, “Honey, I believe I can detect a hint of chocolate.” One restaurant had a $18. lunch size Romain salad, not much in it, but surely for $18 it must be organic! So I ask stupidly ask, Is that organic? He responded, Oh no and once again, So sorry, but have a nice day St. Helena is no better Now I remember why I left this Valley!
