So i am wondering if any of you know the answer to this question or know anybody who knows the answer. What dose raising the minimum wage do to standard of living? I ask because i ran across an article about the government trying to raise the minimum wage, and in the comments there was a lot of back in forth on job loss and money to be spent and prices being raised, and so on. each one of those things being an aspect of standard of living. but after a lunch hour of research i have been unable to answer my question. It seems to me that if raising the minimum wage raises standard of living then its a good thing. if it doesnt then why bother, and if it lowers standard of living then its a bad thing, and its effects on anything but standard of living are irrelevant.
