So in reading about the upcoming matchup between my Saints & the Bills, the article began by saying how strong the Saints are at home, then said that the Bills are proving to be a tough out. A baseball analogy to illustrate a football point. Why are all the best analogies from sports? going for the knockout, Its a slam dunk, or thats your third strike, are all used in contexts other than the sports from which they came. Why do we not have analogies from other areas of life, like politics? Like, when a team scores a touchdown, and the kicker comes out for the extra point, we could say, and Hartley comes on to tack the rider onto the bill. Or when the momentum shifts from one team to the other during the game, Boy, early on the polls were favoring the Panthers, but now its the Dolphins who have their spin on the news cycle. Or what about musical analogies? Boy, the Chiefs Defense is proving to be more exotic than a Stravinsky ballet to the Raiders quarterback. How cool would it be to hear Collinsworth the Douche throw that one out there? LMAO!!
