So in working myself up for my 3 miscarriages in a row before - TopicsExpress

So in working myself up for my 3 miscarriages in a row before Jessica was born, I found out I was heterozygous for Factor V Leiden & compound heterozygous (one copy of each gene mutation) for MTHFR. OBs tend to blow off MTHFR unless you have high homocysteine or a blood clot. Well I opted to take baby aspirin & methylated folate. In the last month, I have had three patients test homozygous (two copies of one gene mutation). Two had poor pregnancy outcomes, one had a DVT while on Birth control pills & told her work up (which did NOT include MTHFR) was negative. I think somethings going on here folks. So does Dr Ben Lynch, a naturopath who has been putting his finger on the pulse of this common mutation. What boggles my mind is the number of women with miscarriage & pregnancy complications with this gene mutation emailing Dr Lynch frustrated because no one will listen to them. Well Im listening & my mind is being blown by something we may have been missing for a long time! Stay tuned! MTHFR.net
