So incredibly, unbearably sad this evening! 4 horses die in a fire in holly - one barn friend losses her bff of 6 years suddenly and another that we know loses one of the first they bred (not in the fire - but entirely separate incidents). Combined with the tragic news of a 26 year old rider - falling and dying during a warm up..... We all know that many of us love our horses beyond reason - they become an extension of the person that you are. And the really good, dedicated riders ride through with guts and fearlessness! But wow - what an overwhelmingly, powerfully heart wrenching day for so many. I hugged ours hard tonight - several times!
