So irrespective of how this government chooses to boast about its so-called “historic initiatives”, fact of the matter remains that people will for years together remember the current dispensation for its historic failures. It must be reiterated here that both National Conference and Congress share the blame of failures equally, and certainly not the way latter wants the people to think and believe. Congress which shared the privileges of power without any checks and balances cannot wash it hands clean and slam every blame on NC – the party ministers and legislators and even other functionaries are equally culpable for all the wrongs that happened during past six years. Therefore, one really wonders who the Congress leaders want to impress when they feign sadness over the plight of Kashmir’s flood-victims.
