So, it has been a day and a half. We woke up to Dre in very bad condition at about 5am. We took him to the emergency vet, then to his regular vet, and it seemed like things were only getting worse. He couldnt walk and couldnt stop shaking. He had a very high temperature. They filled him with fluids, and he got a little better, but then quickly got worse. After some more fluids, he still struggled. We decided we would have his vet come to the house to put him down. We just couldnt let him suffer. So we left the vet, and did everything we could to make his day great. Well...throughout the day he perked up. He is still not himself. But by the time the vet got here, he was in a very different state than he was this morning. He barked when she walked in, gave kisses to the tech, and ate another cheeseburger. We just couldnt do it at that point. SO, thank you VERY much for all of the support. He is obviously a very loved dog. We are lucky enough to have at least another day with him.
