So...it is still peach season and here is a terrific pie that I made for dinner last night Sour Cream Peach Crumble Pie Make a basic pie pastry for a single crusted pie Line 9 inch pie shell with crust Topping for the pie 1 cup rolled oats 4 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 cup of cold butter cubed 1/2 cup brown sugar blend together until crumbly with pastry cutter set aside Filling 6 -8 ripe peaches 1 tsp almond extract 1/2 cup sugar 2 cups sour cream 2 tablespoons flour 1 egg mix together egg, sugar , extract , flour , sour cream cut up peaches fold peaches into sour cream mixture pour this into pie shell top pie with Topping covering all of the sour cream Bake 350 for approximately 40 minutes or until wooden tooth pick comes out clean Cool pie to room temperature Note this is one pie that tastes best refrigerated. So when at room temperature set in fridge for at least 2 to three hours. Happy Baking!
