So, its August. This month in Japan marks the anniversary of the Atomic bombings of both Nagasaki and Hiroshima. In Australia, we honour our soldiers, and how they fought for our freedoms. In Japan, they remember their dead, and wish never again for war. These attitudes may seem similar, but they are vastly different. We glorify war, and how our freedoms were protected. Whereas they are sad that they were ever involved in such an atrocity and apologise to those who lost their lives in the cause. This seems more real now than ever before, with all the ingredients being gathered for the next big war. The media are playing the prequel to us right now, our government is about to help the U.S. bomb Afghanistan. Were just sitting back and watching. Dont make Japan apologise to more dead souls, and dont make us honour more soldiers. Please.
