So just so I am clear on all this. Hobby Lobby wants to stick to - TopicsExpress

So just so I am clear on all this. Hobby Lobby wants to stick to its beliefs of not covering Birth control for its employees. They still provide medical care, they pay approx. 80% above minimum wage for their employees who work full time. Obama care mandate says they have to provide Birth control or face 1.3 million dollar fine per day. Now, i just went to my doctor the other day because Sean wants to quit smoking, so I ask the doctor for a prescription for Chantix. She says ok here, and gives me a coupon for $75 dollars off for each month. I think, WOW awesome. Well my employer does not cover Chantix on the medical coverage we have. So i go to fill the script and it is $150 bucks for one month and I have to take it for three months for it to work supposedly. I say well i gave you this coupon for $75 bucks off, he says that is the price with $75 bucks off. Ok well Sean cant afford that so I am saving money each month to be able to afford the script. Is it my constitutional right to have Chantix? No it sure aint. I ask you.. what is the difference between my employer not covering Chantix, and Hobby lobby not covering Birth control.? I did a little research on line and found birth control pills for $9.00 a month. I am 99% sure my daughters could easily grab me some condoms at school since they are passing them out these days like halloween candy at the schools. so those would be Free (even though tax payers are most likely paying for those too) I submit to you this opinion. This has nothing to do with womens rights, It has everything to do with Control. Do you think the employees of Hobby Lobby would rather loose their jobs because their employer would have to close up shop due to over burdensome legislation and government control run amok? Or do you think they would want to keep their jobs and pay $9 dollars a month for birth control if they decided they needed it? Hobby Lobby is not firing employees for using Birth control, they are not telling them they cant buy it or get it from the very doctor they are seeing that is part of their health care, they are only saying they will not cover that particular script. Hundreds of prescriptions are not covered by many Healthcare plans out there. Why is birth control so special? Because it is again... not about birth control, but government control.
