So just yesterday the Mrs and I decided to do something different - TopicsExpress

So just yesterday the Mrs and I decided to do something different on our date night and took a dancing lesson. We started with the foxtrot, and I must say that we were pretty good for the first time. There was something that the instructor said that really got me thinking. She mentioned that when making a turn the man, who is leading, has to do certain things: ➤ He has to stay close and connected with her ➤ With his right hand firmly pressed on her left side he has to guide her (not push or tug) through the turn so even though she doesnt know ahead of time when its going to happen, she can feel that it is being done together and in sync ➤ He needs to fight the reflex to make man-size steps when what she needs are steps sized to keep her balanced. GENTLEMEN guide your ladies, keep them balanced, dont turn alone or merely give turning advice from a distance but lead in a way where she feels safe and supported and is therefore easier to follow. LADIES you are going to have to let Mr two-left-feed lead. Give it time and he will stop stepping on your toes DANCING is like life, where its graceful beauty is only experienced when only one is leading. There is no better partner than our Heavenly Father, who will dance with you across lifes ballroom and as long as you let Him will lead you and stay connected even during the turns. #dancingwiththespouses
