So last night as I was going out, I came across a cat that had just been hit by a car =( someone had pulled their car in front of it so it wouldnt get hit again, but didnt know what to do otherwise. Of course the driver who hit the cat did NOT stop grrr!!! As I went back to my car to get a blanket to pick her up and take to the vet, she died. I took her to the vet anyway so that she could be cremated and not left on the street as road kill. Also I wanted to check for a chip and place a report with Animal Control in case she was someones pet. My question to the universe, is WHY do I come across this situation?? 5 minutes earlier wouldnt have saved her life, I couldnt prevent it from happening in the first place, 5 minutes later and the police would have taken care of her, and she would have already been gone. Why do I have to see something I love so much, and just life in general, slipping away, taking her last breath if I couldnt do anything about it??? AT least I could talk to and comfort her in her last seconds...and get her off the street, but I still have to wonder why....
