So last night was the opening session of the Dandenong Ranges One Act Play Festival. What am amazing opening session, as Aron posted if this is the quality to be expected it is going to be an amazing festival. First up was Walter and Merriam from the home team Gemco. It is never easy to go first at a festival and they did a good job. It was nice little rom com and a nice gentle way to open. Next was Peridot with the ferris wheel. This was a really tight, really fun comedy. Have to note the amazing performance from Donna Pope in this. She was mesmerising. This was always going to be a tough act to follow, but we did. Our first up play was Bethany and the girls did a really good and strong job. Lots of laughs and a very impressed adjudicator. So its off this afternoon again for the afternoon where we get to enjoy the plays as an audience only, we have no plays in this session, so we can just sit back and enjoy. - JJ
