So last time I am trying this. This will be my third attempt to.post this today. Owen was supposed to be scheduled for a heart Cath and a lung biopsy today but neither were completed due to no room in the schedule. Heart Cath is supposed to be tomorrow. Biopsy will.not be until next week because the Dr. Is away. This has alle about because one of the transplant Dr. Came up with the idea to check the pressure in Owens heart. Higher pressures can cause proteins to flood the gut thus causing more fluid in the gut , bringing on diarrhea. So he had that test done and they found his pressure in the right atrium to be 16. Normal.healthy heart pressure is 0-5. They are rather concerned about rejection at this time. Or the cause may be that his heart has not relaxed in the new space yet. Let us hope and pray that it is the second thing. Currently we are having g a stomAch emptying test done. Been here since 12:30 today. Test would have been only two hours if it was showing emptying. We are going on three hours now and not much is moving. He also.has a barium upper gi ordered. We need to get this stomach thing figured out. On another note, Owen rode a bike for therapy today. He did pretty well. I got to leave the hospital under protest last night, thanks to Michelle Murray Pontious, David Stauffer and Sierra Pontious. Michelle stayed with Owen while I went out into the real world. Was hard. But Owen told me I deserved to go.out. And he wanted me to go. It was strange. Yesterday was also Owens one month heart birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Owen! I am.going to try to send this. If it doesnt work this time, it will.have to wait till.tomorrow.
