So let me get this straight. Facebook with take down pictures of women breastfeeding, but allows videos of beheadings and alleged I.S. cruising around killing people with machine guns. Facebook allowed hundreds of thousands of people to share, comment and like these videos. Im not saying the shit going down in Iraq/Syria isnt appalling, cause it is. But we need to question the story were being told and what role social media is playing in it. I watched an interview with one of the leaders of the IS and he basically said Were just retaliating because the U.S. keeps bombing us. If the U.S. left us alone, then we would stop fighting. I dont know what the truth is, but at least question the agendas behind the story were being told. The question is, Is social media actually allowing us to get closer to the truth, or is it just another was of forcing misinformation on us?.
