So, lots of changes going on in my life. The main change is Im getting to know my other side, my Alspaugh side :) It was neglected for 40 years due to lies and life in general. I am so glad that they have opened their hearts and lives to me. I truly do love them all. I have learned that I am more relaxed and myself around them. Sometimes life isnt cut and dry and you must work for what you want. I wanted my Dad and so I cast the fear aside and called when I turned 40. We havent let go since. Ive learned a lot about myself through them. I know what side of the cloth that I was cut from now and I finally fit. We share a lot of the same values Family, Loyalty, Love, Respect, etc. This is nice to say the least. Ive gotten to spend time with my cousins Ive never known and I have a kick ass Aunt and Uncle that has my back and supports me in who I am. We have no expectations or pretense in our relationships. We are just us. My son now knows his only living biological grandfather and will meet some more family in time. I look forward to the future and the memories it will bring for all of us. Hugs
