So many moons ago, wow, here I sit by the pacific, now a sail boat captain even, yet back in the day, pondering how to get society to accept all us practitioners for who we are, more then art, more then tattoo, beyond the medical laser surgeons that were putting down tattoos just to get the dallaz, and to open a venue of sharing information, buy lasers and do both sides of the process under the name derma-pigmentology.... a solid English medical terminology made up by the visiting permanent landed immigrant kid that wanted not all the money but some recognition his mother could tell her friends about.... and woooow look at us now. I feel I missed the resurgence in the industry but Im back babies, andit seems to be inking better then ever for me. Im simy amazed on the amount of info out there, the acceptance that the new generations have opened for this trade. Kind of effd in a way because of all the portfolio this and portfolio that these days... if there is one thing. Stop demanding portfolios and start demanding quality on the spot. Its a friendlier way opposed to a money generating potential. With so many of us working theres hardly spots some say... anyway... back to the rant...thats about it. I remembered what I was building and now its operational ... at least the applying part, the removal for me is about a year off, but in essence its the new name to our profession and only professional operators need undertake the name, no store, studio, owners without tattoo application experience need explore this, and if your a laser technician, well unless your worming/working with a tattoo studio, you need not use it. Exclusions...sure we have them... but we, the application operators are the ones responcible, hence we must have the benefit and respect to use this new word Ive created for all of us to seek shelter under in what use to be a very threatening profession to the general public....we made it and now have assumes co troll...we have assumed control, we have assumed control....love to all the inkers of the world tonight.
