So many people are getting the flu. So many people wont take Tamiflu because they have heard of side effects. Heres my thoughts...... First of all, aspirin and Tylenol have terrible side effects,too. Molly started running a fever Friday night, up to 103.9 while rotating Tylenol and Advil. Went to dr. Saturday morning and she and Hannah both had type A flu. They started tamiflu and the rest of us were prescribed tamiflu as a preventive measure. No fever since Saturday night and have been up playing wide open. Yes, there have been a couple complaints of my tummy hurts, but I will take that over a 103.9 fever. As far as being contagious..... per the pediatrician, they need to be fever free for 48 hrs. So they havent been out of the house since saturday when we got back from Doctor. (Wish everyone would be considerate about exposing others!!!!!!!) So thankful they are doing good now and thankful for pediatricians that treated the whole family to try to get us well for Christmas. So for all you folks that are newly diagnosed. I would highly recommend getting Tamiflu and giving it a try. While it is true that some people cant take it, that doesnt mean everyone cant. Good luck!! God bless!!!
