So many things happen to us in our life without our knowledge or cognizance, leaving us in a state of disarray. Certain situations occur time and again, some, even on a daily basis. Only after the occurrence has taken place do we realize that we should not have let that happen. We then pledge to change that pattern, only to find that we let it happen the next time as well. How to break that pattern? We have to first and foremost accept the pattern that we are not happy with or wish to change as a challenge area for us, where improvement is needed. Having accepted it consciously with complete awareness, we then have to become increasingly aware of it. The more aware you are of it, stronger the focal or attentional energy you put on it. It is this attentional energy with intent that will give you the energy of awareness. Once this pattern sets in, when the old pattern comes to repeat itself, your attentional energy, which is called awareness, kicks in and challenges the old energy pattern. At that point in time, you are enabled to make an informed and independent decision and you decide to stop that old pattern and allow the new pattern to establish itself. The higher your level of awareness or conscious attentional energy to identify and stop the oncoming of an old pattern, the more you begin to live in the NOW! This has to be cultivated and maintained on a daily, weekly, monthly or even hourly basis. In Project Management speak, you have to keep re-baselining yourself continually by taking stock of yourself and patterns that challenge you. Begin with whatever frequency you are comfortable and progress to higher frequencies.
