So many touching memorials of this day. It was definitely one of those I remember where I was moments. I was working at home, had gone to get a cup of coffee; when I got back to my desk and turned the radio back on, I heard them say another plane has hit the World Trade Center, and I thought another?? Turned on the TV, and my day was pretty well shot. Anyone born after, or too young to remember, will never understand the complete horror we felt as we watched those towers burn, saw the chaos, the ashes, people running and falling... and listened to the confusion about every plane in that next hour, every one of them suspicious, readying for the worst... and for the remainder of the day looking to the sky and didnt see a single contrail - everyone was grounded. The bravery of the first responders - ALL, responders -, the military, the Average Joe doing what he could; the people on Flight 93, knowing they were going to die and making it on their terms so they could save people on the ground; the way this country pulled together and was ready to stand and fight... didnt matter if I was a Hatfield and you were a McCoy, we were all Americans, and proud of it. And most of us are remember, and were still proud.
