So much gratitude to those who made this video. Mental illness is a tricky thing. Its not as simple as fixing a broken leg, you dont just put a cast on and watch it heal. It takes time, a lot of support and open communication. Ive watched a close family member go through many hospitalizations in the mental health care system during the last 4 years after being diagnosed with Bi Polar. I never knew what they were truly going through because it was too hard for them to speak about or they didnt know how to explain it to me. Ive had my own struggles and have made mistakes. When I open up about those difficult times with them we seem to find common ground. If you have a story, share it. Youll feel better and you never know how comforting it may be for someone else to hear it. We are all a little mentally ill, we all have our own experiences of lows and highs in our lives and that means we are all in this together. Lets leave our cards out on the table & talk about it.
