So much happiness today :) A huge thank you to Corinne and Cora for transporting Samantha and Joseph to their foster, Jennifer! A bit about Samantha & Joseph: Sam & Jos owners were not able to keep them as Sam had a very intense interest in the birds on the farm and the neighbors farm. Her lust for turkeys, chickens and ducks could not be contained and therefore could no longer stay. However, Sam had absolutely no interest in any of the other farm animals, including cats. They are a bonded pair which is why they were both surrendered together. They had their own house outside, with A/C, and were allowed to roam free when the owners were home. (yes, they were outside dogs). However, Samantha and Josephs story didnt start there. Their owners actually rescued them from a man down the street about 4.5 years ago (the dogs were about 2 then). They were locked in a 4x4 pen locked inside a building. Their was so much feces in the pen that it blocked the door to their igloo. They encouraged the man to sign the dogs over to them and he did. He did admit to hitting them with a broom handle and just feeding them stale bread. (thats the short version) That is their past. That is now over. No reason to dwell or rehash. Now, we look to the future. Their future is bright, theyll have to wear shades. Welcome Sam & Jo!
