So, my bff and I will both be turning 50 next year and are looking for ideas for a fun girls weekend away. Im guessing itll be about 4 days (because I dont want to dump my son on friends/family for longer than that). Because itll be a short trip, I dont want to go too far away and spend more time traveling than vacationing. I dont think either of us wants to do a cruise and were not really the types to just sit on a beach all weekend, although were not opposed to spending some time at the beach. We really like to get out and see the sights. Were too old to spend the entire trip drinking and my knees/back are showing their age so we wont be hiking the whole time either. Weve done Savannah and New Orleans and NYC and Toronto and Frederick, MD and antiquing in Massachusetts and Williamsburg and loved them all but wed like to do something new to both of us. Chicago and Montreal are on the list but we really need to put some serious thought into it and are hoping for some great suggestions. Money IS an object so Hawaii, Austrailia, Europe and the like are off the list....lol.
