So my day started out by cleaning three piles of dog poop and one puddle of pee off of my dining room floor. While I was cleaning the floor, the puppy decided to vomit... and then eat it, so I had to clean that spot as well. Shortly after, another puddle followed and had to be cleaned. Then while dressing Reuben, we discovered bumps that werent quite like bug bites all over his body... chicken pox? Following that, we were eating breakfast and Reuben knocked his whole bowl off of the table, cereal and all... another mess to clean. A few minutes later Silas accidentally dumped a large amount of milk from his cup unto the floor AND his brother Oliver. He cleaned that mess up himself. A little bit later a large crash from the kitchen, revealed a fallen cookie sheet and a broken plate which I had to sweep up promptly. Shortly after that, One of the kids knocked my sewing kit off of the footstool in the living room and sent a whole lot of buttons and a few pins sprawling out all over the living room floor. One misplaced dog leash later, Reuben was sleeping on me. He woke up and began fidgeting very uncomfortably. I finally realized why he was fidgeting only when a warm puddle soaked my pants as he sat on me... this time it was not the dog. Then this evening after Scott got home Reuben came out of the bathroom and said I spilled accidentally. The so-called spill was actually the sink completely over flowing and leaving the largest puddle by far flowing into the adjoining room. Now everyone is sleeping. Scott just returned from a run to get a snack for us while we watch something together before bed. This day was crazy and made me feel like crying at times, but it makes me laugh too. All in all, I am so fortunate that one broken dish, a few spills, some unhappy accidents, a sick and yet healthy child (if that makes sense) and an overflowing sink, cant put a dent in how blessed and happy I am.
