So, my oak table and chairs is now at the young Gingerichs new home. Jim and Sherrie Bean gave us a card table to fill the empty space in the breakfast nook, so I covered it with an old table cloth. The two captains chairs that go to my dining room were put back in the MBR for sitting area. So I cleaned up a couple folding chairs and pulled out the chair pads that I used on the oak set. They actually fit in better with the table than the fancy dining chairs, as you can see by comparison pics. I took down the grapevine wreath from above the kitchen sink and moved it to the brick wall by front door. I threw away the 21 year old heart shaped wreath that was there before? My girls would be proud of me. I decluttered the top of the hutch, and put my bistro scene, which has been on top of it since we moved in two years ago...above the kitchen sink. The vines will come down above sliding doors after the holes are spackeled and painted. The former owners had vertical blinds hanging there, which were taken down to paint when they were preparing to list. They were supposed to have been put back up, but heir painter threw them away! Since there was no need for the hardware, we took the brackets down and covered the holes with the vines. The vines were an easy fix. The tops of the cabinets will be totally cleared away, minus one or two small items for effect. Time to git er dun! and get on with the getting on! 🍋
