Well, it is January and the time of year when everybody starts - TopicsExpress

Well, it is January and the time of year when everybody starts those weight loss goals they have. About 2 years ago I started doing Leslie Sansone Walk at Home videos. I bought her one mile walk on the Exercise TV website and started from there. Later I found a lot of her videos on YouTube which allowed me to branch out to the two mile, three mile and even four mile walks. I worked my way up to doing three miles in different combinations everyday and I tried to do a four mile walk at least once a week. For me this is pretty darn good since I was born with a severe foot deformity and a shorter leg on that side. I had a surgery to shorten the longer one and it nearly caused my leg to become useless to me. Ive had a very hard time in my life, but I never let it stop me. Anyways, I have some kind of muscle problem now...not sure what it is...or a nerve problem. It has made it very difficult for me to get around. I had to stop doing my videos altogether for a bout 5 months. One day I just said screw it and loaded an easy one mile walk. All her walks are multi muscle walks...you are not just marching in place folks. I did the easy one and it nearly killed me. The next day I could barely move but I did it again. I have managed to work my way back up to doing a two mile walk. I still cannot do the more advanced ones and probably never will be able to. I just finished a walk and I feel like my hips are going to break and my left foot is numb. My left thigh feels like I have an electric current going through it most of the time which is horrible. Exercise of any kind makes it worse. I figure that if I can do this stuff, in my condition, that most anybody can. Walking helps pretty much everything and is proven to be the best exercise there is. This is the YouTube video of the video I purchased way back when to start doing. It is a one mile walk. There are some that have less of the other movements in them...a tad easier but this was the one that got me started. https://youtube/watch?v=fag8ztILbEg
