So my thoughts for today: I am always finding myself crazy busy - TopicsExpress

So my thoughts for today: I am always finding myself crazy busy and here I am taking the time to look through my numerous emails deciding which ones are important enough to read when one title catches my eye (Be Encouraged TODAY!) by my pastor and he addresses me by name, humm??Really? I must read...and so I did. I find it interesting that he wrote to me, like he took the time out to write to me? OK he is the new pastor and I am still not over what happened to the other pastor ( MARK CROW ), This one took his time to write to me and write about some interesting topics, Okay I have always been a firm believer in God and believe he works in ways that I will never understand. I have a personal relationship with him and talk with him daily about everything. I see all of the work he is doing in my life and I know he is proud of me. I know he is preparing me for something better to come in my life. Now with all of that said I have stepped away from the church, not God at all, I was just waiting for all this terminal in my life to calm down before I continued my search and then I read the pastors letter. I will tell you what, God always has a way of getting my attention but sometimes he is so loud and clear and I think he has to be like that with me because my mind races a mile a minute, so in short here is some if not all of the email: Dear Rebecca, I trust this email finds you doing well after an amazing 4th of July weekend. Whether you are in a cheerful, blessed, and thankful situation, or right in the midst of a dark, frustrating, or depressing season, I extend a great encouragement to you today. This Sunday, I will be continuing our series entitled “Family Circus,” and will be speaking about the messes and pressures of everyday living. Do you ever feel the pressure? Do things seem messy in your life at times? I believe God has given me a word to share with you. The title of my sermon is “The Paradigm Shift.” It’s a new way of thinking with a new and life-giving approach to the pressures and messes in our lives. Let me give you a word of encouragement. Sometimes I feel incredibly weak and incapable of doing what God has called me to do. However, I’m reminded of Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which reads, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. If you feel weak and incapable today, that is exactly where God wants you. Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Be encouraged today. Your situation did not catch God by surprise, but the way God resolves your situation might catch everyone around you by surprise! Also this Sunday, I will not be driving back and forth to the Edmond Campus, so I’m looking forward to being in the Lobby before and after each Worship Experience. I would be honored to meet you and shake your hand.
