So, not posting much today due to the weather as well as feeling a bit defeated. Maybe discouraged is a better word. The older dog that is on a chain without a kennel is still outside without proper housing. Proper enough to pass ACo so I am not even bothering to call....I have a kennel and bought a new House for this Senior...all I need is a cooperative owner. It poured here last night, to the point that I have 3 inches of water in my yard. It is also cold as hell outside. But by County Standards he has a house (a plastic crate covered in tattered plastic) a bowl of water and food...ignore the fact this dog is more than likely 9+ years old and on a maybe 6 foot chain. Until I can gather my own emotions and go over there without my snark I am best staying home. Today was not the day! I hope that tomorow will be better and I can walk over there without ruining any chances for this dog. I know I can not force anyone to think the same way I think. However I find it impossible to understand why I have to convince someone that their dog deserves better? It is not like I am gong over there with an Argyle Sweater and telling them to put the dog on their bed...I am offering a free kennel and house! Treading very gently here seeing they live on the other side of our fence :(
