So now to my latest film review: The Grand Budapest Hotel. Not a film to watch in North Finchley with an audience mainly consisting of middle class Jews (...like me). Unlike me however this lot fidgeted, played Ruth their phones and walked out. Slightly harsh on a sumptuous looking film with a cracking soundtrack and some excellent acting, particularly by Ralph Fiennes. A clever offbeat film which will not appeal to many people as its too quirky. If Im honest it was not quite up my street but its a work of art which beats a lot of lazily scripted, sloppy films which rely on easy hits or cheap laughs. Just dont bother seeing it in North Finchley!
