So proud of Mitchell Warren & his wife, Emily. They are currently serving a short term mission (with fellow players & coaches of Mitchells football team at Wheaton College)in the Dominican Republic. The following is a SHORT EXCERPT from an update by one of the team members. Back in Hato del Yaque, we were without air conditioning, with inconsistent electricity, and occasionally had no water pressure. Los Dias de trabajar (Work days) became harder and harder under the grueling Dominican sun. The days felt even longer without amenities like air conditioning to return to after work. We felt far out of our typical American comfort zone. Thanks to encouragement by our leaders, Coach Josiah Sears and Senior Captain Mitch Warren, we pressed through the heat and sweat to serve at our church in Hato del Yaque. Team members performed a variety of tasks, from digging out the base layer, to shoveling mounds of gravel, to wheel-barreling portions of dirt, to leveling out the different layers. In the end, we prepared the way for the creation of a basketball/volleyball complex. So blessed to be called Aunt Pam by these fine young men...Mitchell, Ken Warren & Josh William Warren
